Traveling this morning and so glad we stopped here for breakfast. We follow reviews and this place rises to the top. Omlettte, fried eggs, pancakes, toast, potato choices and coffee were all fresh, hot and delicious! Our server Rae was attentive, cheerful and very friendly! Hope to see you again on our next 300 mile trip south. (I just know we’re going to be sad we didn’t grab a pie to take home this morning
I visited the restaurant on Thursday for dinner with my mother. She ordered a salad, and unfortunately, the lettuce was brown. I opted for biscuits and gravy, but the biscuits were so hard that I couldn't even cut them with a knife. Typically, the food here is quite good, so I'm not sure what went wrong this time.
The food was delicious, the staff were friendly, and the service was quick. I especially enjoyed the pineapple coconut muffin—it was a real treat! The parking lot is a decent size, and we arrived before the rush, so we had plenty of space for our truck and trailer. However, it was pretty full by the time we left.
American menu, breakfast any time! Biscuits gravy, Huge roast beef and corned beef sandwiches. Awesome pies. Piece of pie at a low price. Food portions are generous. Baked potato at dinner with all the fixings. You will leave full and happy. Réservez une table maintenant
This family-owned restaurant is excellent! You should definitely give it a try; you’ll love it. They offer daily specials, and you must not miss the homemade fresh peach pie for dessert.
The food and service at the VPS is ALWAYS the best in town. Have lived in Carlsbad over 35 years and have always loved this place. Especially Ray, very nice efficient.
Loved beef and barley soup, dad enjoyed BLT. I had turkey sando... very bready, and not toasted. Heavy on the mayo. Sugar free banana cream pie was amazing.
