We had a family meal here on Christmas Eve this was my first time here but came highly recommend although this must have been an off day. We arrived on time one of our party however couldn’t make it so on arrival we notified the bar staff who were all miserable definitely not in the festive spirit also the chef who was rude told us we still had to pay for their as he had already cooked it who cooks all the meals before the guests have arrived as the food would be spoilt before we get it if we were running late. Well what a gem of a place this is. Traditional Pub with Traditional Food at an excellent standard. We had been before for a Sunday Dinner and because of the quality we decided to go back. Well if you think his Sunday is quality, the standard of his main menu is amazing. Lovely warm welcome by all the ladies on shift that carries on regardless through out your dining experience. The Food is simply great, well priced and great value for money Really nice to see bottles of wine on offer at a great price range that is not bending your wallet. We have recently lost both parents within a matter of weeks, to say we were not with it when booking a small wake for our Mum would be an understatement. However, both Mum and Dad had very happy memories of meals here and Scott and his team could not have been more accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble, our guests felt warmly welcomed and the food was generous and delicious. The pub itself is just gorgeous and set in a beautiful rural location. Traditional, heavily beamed, woodburner on the go, great cosy homely atmosphere. Lots of car parking too. Highly recommend!

It was our Granddaughters 10th birthday and we had a family lunch booked to celebrate after a local alpaca walk. The walk overran by half an hour but the pub were very understanding to hold our booking. On arrival the table had been decorated for the birthday meal. The meal and service was outstanding, enjoyed by all of us. We would love to visit again and would definitely recommend The Waggon Horses. Réservez une table maintenant

My parents came down from Derbyshire. We went to the Waggon Horses for a Mother’s Day meal! We were not disappointed. What a beautiful meal! We all enjoyed our meal. A superb meal at a lovely oldie worldly pub. Staff were excellent very friendly and very nice staff. A good selection of starters, mains and deserts. A very big thank you to all of you!!!

We visited late last year and had a great roast so we told our mum and said we would take her finally got around to it yesterday and it didn’t disappoint! The service was second to none, everyone was really friendly and made us feel at ease The roast, well just wow. By far the best around! We will definitely return and bring more people!

Well for me this is what a truly rural country pub should be like. Hearty, good portions I a rural cosy pub feel. Fantastic food and good service, excellent beer choice too. The food is is good quality, and plenty of it. Just what I love and look for I. A good food pub. Keeps it up and I can’t wait to visit again.

Booked a table on probably the hottest day ever, had a lovely roast couldn't eat it all as was huge !! Staff very friendly even though they must have been struggling in the heat. Lovely little place sat outside and watched the world go by. Highly recommend, but book as clearly popular !! Réservez une table maintenant

Lovely old country pub with a nice garden that’s dog friendly, Good pub food and friendly staff. We had scampi and chips which came with salad and coleslaw, and the chicken hunters style, all very enjoyable.
