The Waterfront Public House

I'd waited a while to go here because I thought it would be a good experience. It wasn't. The food was awful. Tiny portions and all deep fried! Deep fried veggie burger and onion rings swimming in grease. We werent sat too far from the kitchen and all we could smell was old fat. Burger had two soggy pieces of lettuce on and nothing else, as per the menu. I expected well cooked food for the price but massively disappointed. Still feeling sick the day after from all the grease. Also sat on a table with 4 just about big enough for 2 while bigger tables sat empty. Overall, food on par with a greasy spoon. Wish I'd gone to Mcdonalds and saved myself £100. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

Hasn’t changed from the last time we were there, manager Ms Wyss seems to think her place is second to none and things dosent think there is room for improvement! Service is Slow, portions small, food poor, but seems to think reviews on google are better than those on Tripadvisor! And can’t think of a less generic response! Will patronise the pub next to the cinema next time for food, better reviews! Price per person: £10–20 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

I just do not know why I decided to give this place a second chance! Waited to be seated, despite, several members of staff walking past us, waited for table to be cleaned, waited to place order. Food adequate, will think twice about returning, after all there are plenty other alternatives. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

Told to sit outside with our four month old son like he was a dog at 4pm on a freezing November night. He was asleep in the carrier (no pram and even the waitress hadn’t noticed him until we mentioned. Went to a nicer (and cheaper! cafe just around the corner. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
