I went to this recently reopened pub on Saturday, initially just planning to have a few drinks but ended up ordering some food. When I placed my order, I received some rude looks from a few people in the pub and one young man even laughed at me, making me feel a bit uncomfortable. The pie and chips I received seemed like they had just been thrown in the microwave, with a basic beef pie from Aldi and undercooked chips. Despite wanting to complain, the unpleasant atmosphere made me decide to just leave instead. First visit to this really nice place and it won'tbeour last. Very friendly staff who make you feel like a regular and make you very welcome. We had a truly very enjoyable lunch, and the homemade burgers are an absolute must. These are 5 stars and at an extremely reasonable price. Parking: A few parking spaces, but it is in an area that is perfect for walkers because of the woods, etc, at the rear of the property. Price per person: £30–40

We had a wonderful evening with friends last night at this restaurant. Terry and Mike make a great team and the food was absolutely fantastic. I would give the food a rating of 5, the service a rating of 5, and the atmosphere a rating of 5 as well. Réservez une table maintenant

Thankfully, no longer a members bar. Friendly barman. I would have enjoyed the inside of the pub more if there wasn't horseracing playing loudly on a big TV. Outside needs a lot of work. I'm sure it'll all improve. Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2
