What a great find. Amazing food, all the usual favourites but elevated. We had the battered cod, chunky chips mushy peas and tartare and it's up there with the best I've eaten. all other food coming out looked amazing. well definitely be going back. Fantastic service too, accommoded us at the last minute and our toddler who was welcomed in. fantastic atmosphere and drink selection. a real must 10/10

Ok so my girlfriend had a small issue with her meal and notified a member of staff, who was understanding and gave an alternative meal, no fuss no problem, it was I'm sure a one off, also they gave me a free desert .. my steak and ale pie was excellent and my girlfriends braised beef was superb. Highly recommend this place, very attentive staff good food and portion size..

A quiet Sunday afternoon considering the football final later today but a steak and ale pie waiting a little while for. The puff pastry and filling were very generous and the hand cut chips cooked perfectly as well. Best pub pie I’ve had in a long while.

This used to be our go to pub for food but the quality of food is poor. It's deteriorated quite quickly as we used to go regularly so not sure whether it's changed chef/management.

Had lunch at the wheatsheaf croston,it was fantastic food very tasty and good value for money will def calling again staff wer attentive and professional well worth the journey

a really nice pub in the village with a good atmosphere and well designed. the menu is varied and offers a good selection of items. eating is particularly good.

Took the family here for a cooked breakfast. Food was hot and well presented. Staff were friendly and the service was great. Would highly recommend.
