This used to be my favourite restaurant in Warrenpoint. However , my last few visits have disappointed me so much . They are charging very high prices , which have gone up way more than necessary and portions are the same or even smaller than before. The bar service was dire on Saturday Night . In the Finns Restaurant We had to try and get the attention of staff to even get drink and we were not in a rush as were there for over 3 hours so this is very poor. We even placed are empty glasses on the side of the table to get someone’s attention that we needed more drinks . The people who are running this place need to uplift their service standards or higher better more experienced staff than just kids. I visited the Hotel during the Mourne Festival . A blonde lady which seems to be the manager made our meal most uncomfortable. Upon arrival with a 5 month old in a pram she requested we try to put her into one of their high chairs as they were short on room, our meal was at 12.30am and there wasn't another 10 people on the restaurant. We agreed and all was fine for 10-15 minutes until the baby began to get uncomfortable and unsettled. The lady had taken the pram down a small set of steps beside the kitchen. We have just returned from the most incredible family meal in our favourite hotel! I’ve been frequenting this stunning restaurant for over 20 years and every single time I am blown away by the service, menu, views, ambience and incredible staff. Sarah, Colum and their team always go above beyond to make each and every visit a memorable one. The fajitas, Eton mess, burgers, salmon, cocktails and Irish coffees are among our favourites on the menu though everything is delicious! We highly recommend this fabulous spot to all can’t wait for our next visit!
The Whistledown is my go to spot for catch-ups with friends family or a special treat. I’ve never had a bad meal or experience in it in all the years I’ve been going there! From the friendly staff, fabulous decor and extensive menus (not to mention fabulous views over Carlingford Lough, this place is a real gem! Credit where it’s due to all the staff in what are exceptionally tough times in hospitality.
Great atmosphere in this bistro my wife had a great steak but my starter of pea soup was way over salted. Had to drink 2 pints of water when I got home. The main course for me was the Thai red chicken curry. The sauce was good but the chicken was so dry I had to leave most of it. The chicken must have been reheated for it to be so dry. Not great but next time I will give the steak a go.
Best restaurant in Co. Down always superb food and long serving staff members which speaks volumes (I’ve seen the same staff working here for years . My go to for any celebration I have honestly never had a bad meal here and love the stunning decor. Cannot understand the 1 star reviews ignore and make sure you call here for beautiful food and surroundings x

The food here is great! Very tasty, no complaints. I would recommend the chicken goujons. The service is also great in here too. It is a lovely restaurant although it can be a bit overpriced.
