I visited The White Heart on Friday at 3:30pm while staying nearby for a week of fishing. After shopping, my wife and I decided to stop in for a drink. The beer was delicious, and we received a warm welcome from the friendly landlady. When we inquired about food options, we decided to order then. My wife, who is a vegan, chose the only vegan item on the menu – a delicious curry. I opted for the haddock with triple-cooked chips and mushy peas, which were truly amazing. I also ordered some onion rings, which were clearly homemade and among the best I've ever had. The haddock was huge, a refreshing change from the smaller portions served at other restaurants. We are on the road with our camper. At this pub/restaurant you can spend the night for free when you come to eat here. Well you definitely should. The restaurant area is separate from the pub. Very cozy and attractively decorated. Nice menu with something for everyone. The food was delicious, hot and generous portion. Highly recommended. The owner came over for a chat. We were also allowed to fill up with water for free. An amazing experience. Vegetarian options: It is indicated exactly behind a dish whether it is vegetarian. Also vegan and gluten free. Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible for a wheelchair. Small threshold at the entrance.

The meal was delightful, with efficient service and a reasonable price. The atmosphere was excellent, showing that the managers are skilled in running a pub. Each person spent between £20-30. The food, service, and atmosphere all received a perfect score of 5.
