Beautiful on the outside, in a very pretty village, but the inside is more All Bar One than charming pub. Modern and characterless with bright lighting and functional modern furniture. Didn’t eat and maybe the food is very good but the lack of atmosphere wouldn’t inspire us to return. Greene King has a long record of spoiling historic pubs and unfortunately this isn’t an exception.
Pizza expensive, freshly cooked with minimal toppings. Poor bar service, plenty of staff but only 1 was serving at the bar. Great atmosphere indoors and out.
The onion rings are to die for burger was great as well everything really well seasoned and tasty I’m going back soon for sure
