Lovely pub by the river not far from Richmond Lock, which is interesting in itself. Try their sunday roast always good, well presented platters. Their rib eye steak,, , to die for! We got a warm welcome on arrival from the waitress, she was courteous and friendly. The service was excellent and the food was top notch, great value too! The bulk of their food is cooked on the premises. Check out their desserts, their sticky toffee pudding is awesome. Their chocolate cake with clotted cream and ice cream was one of the best that I have ever had this side of town. Parking is a short distance nearby.. but do check tides timetable!
eating was fabulous (the best yorkshire pudding I've ever had). we drove up by poole and fortunately arrived at 11.30 a.m. without reservation! fortunately, we were in the waiting queue as they reserve a few tables for walk-in's! Unfortunately no view from the garden terrace restaurants, which however do not restrict the wonderful intimate atmosphere! white swan is a great foundation!
Very good food with an original selection of appetizers and the choice of genuine Ales, served quickly and with friendly service. A very pleasant lunch time on Sunday in the garden, would definitely come back to taste the rest of the menu in this well-run and cozy pub in a great location for all sights of Richmond.
The White Swan in Richmond offers top-notch pub food that I highly recommend. The mains we ordered were excellent, especially the chicken, mushroom, and bacon pie that was made in their kitchen. The pie was packed with flavorful ingredients and tasted delicious.

I have been familiar with this restaurant for several years, as it is situated on the grounds of Richmond Palace, which was built by Henry Tudor in the 15th century. Tucked away near the Thames, this establishment is both understated and inviting.
Truly a hidden gem in Richmond. I have been twice and both times the food and wine were on point and reasonably priced. Great service and a country pub feel. Perfect for those trying to get a bit of a break amongst a busy day in Richmond.

We enjoyed our meal in a lovely, cozy outdoor seating area. It was a pleasant surprise to find such a variety of dishes available on the menu.
The beef Sunday Roast is simply amazing. Also the apple and the berries crumb with custard cream and the sticky truffle pudding.
