Just because you have some young people eat at your place doesn 't mean you can treat them with contempt. They are paying customers at the end of the day! My daughters and a few friends called in this evening and all ordered a meal. My daughter was brought two of the same meal and obviously told the male member of staff she 'd only ordered one (she didn 't get his name as he wasn 't wearing a badge). He plonked the food down, rolled his eyes and said angrily you 'll have to eat it, I won 't be taking it back . This is not how to speak to a paying customer, I don 't care how old they are. I used to be a fan of Weatherspoons and would visit this location once or twice a week. However, I have noticed a decline in the quality of service over time. While the food is still decent for the price, there are a few issues that have been disappointing. The portions have become smaller, with fewer chips accompanying the meals. Additionally, when ordering onion rings, we have consistently received fewer than requested, whether it be 9 instead of 12 or 5 instead of 6. It seems to have been a recurring issue for the past five months. The restaurant is often understaffed, leading to dirty tables upstairs when it gets busy. On top of that, the ladies' toilets are in dire need of maintenance,...
Food and staff good. Pub was overcrowded with extra chairs and tables meaning people couldn’t get into the seats of the empty tables as they were blocked by the people sitting behind them. Wetherspoons Southport looked dirty and unkempt, all 3 coffee machines didn’t work. The staff were polite efficient and pleasant and keep the place ticking over. If it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t go again. The owner makes lots of money and is treating his customers poorly . Outside the tables area was littered with stub ends of cigs why is he allowed to keep tables on the grass verges now covid is over?
It is essential that any premises offering general hospitality (Drinking Eating) has some form of heating on in the winter months.We visited The Willow Grove and bought drinks and food and sat down.There was no heating on so we ended up putting our outdoor coats on.In future we will not frequent The Willow Grove in the winter months unless there is heating on.We will look for somewhere that wants it's guests to be comfortable and warm when spending money on their premises. Me and my husband live in Southport and I have to say it's the worst weather spoons we have been in we travel all over the UK and most Wetherspoons are lovely this one seems to be full of young kids working in it what don't no how to clean it's filthy
This restaurant was absolutely terrible. It was freezing cold with no heating, and the chips were soggy. The disabled toilet was dirty and filthy. I will never come back here again. The staff said the heating was broken. Never again.
I went to this restaurant with a friend for a meal and ended up staying for a few hours enjoying the delicious cask ales. The prices were very reasonable and the food was also good.
Good pub, Dirty pub.Staff Poor Service poor and Slow.To much talking behind the bar.Typical ALL Spoons pubs Run by Kids with attitube.Mr Tim Witherspoon needs to get a grip.
