Nothing was wrong with the food, but it could use a little bit more flavor. The service was great as our waitress was really pleasant! It wasn’t a bad atmosphere, but I do think the building could use a little sprucing up. I did not go outside, but from what I could see it looked to be inviting. And you have to get there early. They are first come first serve and we showed up a few minutes early and there were already 15 people in front of us waiting for the door to open. But if you don’t get there early enough, then you will be sitting on the benches as you walk in the door waiting on people to leave their tables so that you can have a seat. Enjoy!
If you are anyway near this place, seek it out. She Crab soup is phenomenal, the triple combo of grilled shrimp and scallops with fried oysters was divine. Our server Anne was a blast, super personable and incredibly inviting, she made the two of us (Midwesterners) feel right at home. The place looks super sketchy but honestly, it?s exactly what I was looking for. Go there, you won?t regret it.
Out of town and found this hidden gem. Saturday evening wait time was reasonable. While your wait they have s outdoor bar with awesome views. Went with the grilled shrimp 8 oz and she crab soup. That 8 oz comes with sides. Definitely didn't go wrong with this meal. Would definitely recommend to find this place and try it out. You have my thumbs up!
Our wedding planner recommended The Wreck for our rehearsal brunch and we are so glad she did! Allison was great to work with, very accommodating and provided our northern wedding party with a true low country experience. The low country boil was amazing and the bartender was great too! Everyone complimented how great the place, staff and food was!

Jules, our server, was exceptionally friendly! They serve the best fried shrimp in Mt. Pleasant! It’s a great local spot with a relaxed vibe. Everything is made from scratch, which is a huge plus! If you love this place, don't forget to check out The Southern! It’s owned by the same family, and I can confidently say that you won't be disappointed!
My daughter and I made a point to come here since it made an appearance in Outer Banks! We were not disappointed! Anne was so friendly. She was helpful in making our choices from the menu, and even chatted with us about the filming that took place there. The food was awesome, three size choices for most plates is very convenient!
Ok, here it is. If you expect valet and white gloves, move along. If you want great seafood surrounded by fishing boats and docks, park and stay. The food is awesome, we had fried shrimp and grilled shrimp. We finished off with key lime pie and banana pudding. We would definitely go back.
Had a great time here. The clam chowder was excellent, fresh. You get all the boiled peanuts you want, tasted superb. We had the sea food combo plotter, shrimp scallops and flounder was top notch! Will definitely come again. Great local spot!

Very amusing entrance. Defintly have to know this gem exists because you won't stumble across it! Friendly staff and great food. Would love to see it in the daylight
Hadn't been to the Wreck since the 90s. Was even better than my memory of it. Good casual eating in the Old Village. Warm and friendly service.
