I walked in at 12:32 to be told they decided to stop serving lunch at 12:30 because they had overbooked themselves with private events and had nowhere to seat us. There were open tables on the patio with other guests already seated out there as well. The woman said try again next weekend but I explained today was my birthday and I really wanted to eat there today. She made no attempts to accommodate us given it was only 2 minutes past the time they spontaneously decided to stop serving. No where on the website does it say reservations are required or that private events will result in changes to normal hours of operation. EXTREMELY disappointed.
I booked a large group gathering recently for our NC Girl Camper chapter. Elaine and her husband were amazing host and treated us with a high tea party luncheon, shared the history of the home and a beautiful tour. Everything was delicious and so much fun. Okay highly recommend bringing your special friends and family to Elaine’s! I can’t wait to go back. Elaine is a beautiful person. The staff were friendly and the place is beautiful to explore. Thank you so much!
Yellow House is a lovely establishment which is a must find for Clayton, NC visitors and residents. Not only is the food tasty; but, they also offer wears and décor to outfit your personal space. I purchased a couple of metal signs to place in my pantry which complete the look. The staff is attentive and personable. Love this space for a front-porch luncheon or afternoon dessert on the back patio. Enjoy!
Elaine set up a BEAUTIFUL baby shower for my sister ? The room was PERFECT, the food was DELICIOUS, and the experience was so very special. I highly recommend hosting your event here- Elaine makes it so easy and handles 90% of everything! We just did invites, games, and favors. It turned out better than I could've imagined ?
