we visited three adults and children (age and it was our first visit and we booked last night for a table today. it was largely booked. we all wanted a Sunday roast. we were not sure whether our children, who are great eaters, would need a adult meal or a child meal? they chose children. the staff was beautiful and attentive and we ordered at the bar and it was very fast at the table. an adult had the frying when the day was lamming and the other two had jammed. the children's dishes were apples for my two big eaters. the pork bell was nicely boiled to perfection and tasted beautiful.kartoffeln boiled perfectly like the veg. the only thing we felt to make the rest of the high quality meal wa...

I looked at two pubs at which to hold the funeral reception for my father. One didn 't seem very interested and merely quoted £20 per head for a cold buffet . The other, The Yew Tree, quoted a similar figure for ten items from a selection on a buffet menu. The menu had a variety of options, hot and cold, with many sounding very tempting indeed. The chef was willing to accommodate our requirements (eg, making some of the sausage rolls with a vegan filling and others with meat). The slow-roast pork belly was sublime, many items were delicious, and there were plenty of comments of how good the buffet was. I always start with three stars and add if something is excellent or vice versa to reduce bad points. set. its on the winter edge, so that the terrain is a little mudy, the marquee is closed and its all look a little sad. Nevertheless, the interieur was warm and although not covided friendly, there was plenty if not comfortable sitting. the personal was met and measured. some smile, some not. if that was hot, I would have added a star, but it was lukewarm. I said I didn't hear any complaint about the quality and must agree. I'd come back with a definitiw, but not with a group.

Just visited for Sunday Lunch. Very cosy tradition style pub. First visit there and the staff were really accommodating for myself my husband and our 5 Yr old son. Had a sticker colour book on the table on arrival for our boy. Lovely food, really tasty and fast service. Nice play area and courtyard and field at the back. there was a really pleasant eating here to celebrate a birthday. competitive price and well cooked and presented food. excellent service. the interior of the pub was very comfortable and beautifully furnished for christmas. will definitely return.

Went to meet some friends we hadn't seen for ages and decided on a Sunday roast, it didn't disappoint! The atmosphere was great, service was friendly and food was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

beautiful environment with incredible eating. large family space with a playground much gras to play and a field with football goal. will definitely be back many times in this summer

Great traditional country pub. Very warm welcome, excellent food and exceptionally cosy. Lovely staff as well. Will be going again soon
