Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. Menu Availability: A significant issue was that 30% of the menu was unavailable due to ordering issues. Some of the missing items included flatbread, onion bhaji, buttermilk fried chicken, ribs, fries, custard, and chocolate sauce. Visited the Thomas Daniel yesterday 29/06/2024 as it was recommended by some local friends and we had seen some good reviews prior. Unfortunately we were deeply disappointed in the lack of options and items not available on the food menu. The wait on food was ridiculous and it was clear that the staff were stressed. Manager clearly struggling to run a restaurant and was told there had been a change of chef/kitchen. I am afraid we won’t be back soon on our travels. The bar staff did slightly soften the blow with an apology, hence the two stars but we won’t be returning anytime soon. This was a great disappointment.
Pretty poor experience. Had a table booked at 8pm. Got there about five minutes early and got a drink. Went to the toilet and there was urine all over the toilet floor. They then said our table wasn’t ready because the people there before us were still on desert. Waited for 25 minutes, and weren’t able to sit down. They then offered the two of us to perch on the end of an empty table of six. We bailed and went to Wetherspoons
We visited this fabulous restaurant with our family for dinner. The menu offered plenty of choice for us all. The service was excellent and the waitresses were attentive. I would highly recommend the ribs, chicken and lobster risotto. My partner enjoyed the local beers and my daughters and I had a selection of cocktails. We will return, thank you.

Incredible food; we had Fish chips, BBQ rips, chicken Madeira, the goan curry the lobster risotto. The food was very tasty and the portions were perfect (the ribs were great for a big appetite too! 10/10 will go again! We also had a mixture of starters/small plates that were delicious, worth ordering if you can handle a full belly
The is a lovely atmospheric spot with super friendly staff and even better food! I had the onion bahjis to start and the ribs for main. By far the tastiest ribs I’ve ever eaten and the portion was more than generous! We all had amazing meals, we cannot wait to come back!
Food was lovely. Staff were friendly. Had the crackling for starters that tasted amazing. Also had the ribs for main and my God the best ribs I've tasted 5*
Just ate here. 3 boys on bikes heading to Lands End from Exeter. Unreal food and lovely service too. Perfect spot and good portion sizes. Can't complain

Best Pub and even better is the food. Something Truro has been Waiting for. Friendly, tasty food and a long beer list. Service was exceptional.
Staff were friendly and made our dogs feel very welcome. Food and service were excellent. Would highly recommend for a lunch time meal.
