I tried this restaurant for the first time today. I see why it's packed all the time. I do, however, have a few things to consider before giving this restaurant top honors. Service and ambiance were good. Chips and salsa reminded me of Los Cucos in flavor and temperature, which is a plus from me. I got the carne guisada, and Mom got the flautas. She let me try a flauta. The meat from the carne guisada was tender, and the rice and beans were good once you add a bit of salt to them. NEVER FAILS TO SATISFY! The food here is fantastic and incredibly affordable. The chips and salsa are absolutely delicious, and that green sauce is downright addictive. I always order the same dish when I come here: huevos rancheros. I prefer my eggs scrambled and order it without salsa because I like to create little breakfast tacos, and the salsa can be a bit much for me. I usually like to keep things simple. This is a study in contrasts. The food is consistently good. The menu prices have not been modified in a decade. Everything is so very cozy and dependable.Quick tips:1. Piña coladas are excellent. The margaritas are solid, but the piñas are better.2. If you order tacos, get them taco bell style or they will be open faced.3. The Chunky Guacamole is the best thing on the menu. At $12, it is twice the size of any guacamole you would get at any other restaurant. It has 2 giant avocados and yummy tomatoes, onions, and cilantro.We go three to four times per month, but no one remembers us. No worries. The service is still good.

Tex mex as zesty as the people that inspired it.Security guard on duty for the lunch specials, Rico Suave is never a theme intended here. Having witnessed many bad behaviors that should have made Grizzy's hood news, but maybe have been redacted.The food is great here, tex mex is not supposed to be on Chef Ramsey's menu. As long as the there is a good kick, tons of calories and drinks arrive fast, what else do u need?Love the service, the food and not so much the war like atmosphere. But I am not holding the restaurants to the rowdy walmart quality clientele.
I ordered three fish tacos, which come on double corn tortillas. The portion size is generous, and the side of rice is plentiful too. Additionally, they served avocado, red cabbage, and a type of ranch dressing. Overall, the serving size is hearty and fairly priced at around $10. The ambiance is enhanced by ranchera music. I did overhear a waiter referring to a customer as "jefe," and I couldn't help but wonder why I wasn't called "jefa."
My wife I recently ordered a delicious early dinner on Friday evening (5:45) via Uber Eats. I had fajita beef enchiladas with double refried beans no rice (enchiladas covered in cheese gravy) and my wife had a dinner plate with various items. Our meals arrived in under 30 minutes and were still piping hot. The food was delicious Tia Maria's has become our new favorite order in Tex Mex for whenever we don't feel like going out.
Ehh pretty decent Tex mex restaurant. Nothing too special about here. Pretty decent portion sized food but that's about it. Taste is decent, not the best. They have AMAZING FREE ICE CREAM, that's the only thing that I really liked here. Many other better Tex mex restaurants I've been to.
