Tia Juanita’s Fish Camp

My son and I are from New Orleans, were in Lufkin for the day and Tia Juanitas was recommended for a nice lunch. Parking was easy and the outside of the building looks like it belongs in a beach or fishing town. Inside, everything was clean, including the restrooms. One thing about poboys outside of southeast Louisiana is they're often made on hoagie rolls instead of French bread, this bread is pretty soft and doesn't usually stand up like French bread does. But! Tia Juanitas surprised me by toasting that roll, which made it crunchy like French bread and it didn't fall apart! My husbands 68th birthday. He wanted oysters , they were so small !! Disappointed ! He got the fish , shrimp oyster plate. Had better fish , shrimp were okay , oysters were small but moist. I’m really upset because I told our waitress it was his birthday, she said we will bring him cheesecake ! I thought wonderful !! Got the cheesecake , it was okay. Then the ticket came while I went to the restroom. My husband took care of it we were out.. Got home looked at my ticket they charged for that Cheesecake ! The one the waitress said they would bring ! I didn’t order it . I tried to call but the line is busy , I will call again or go by on Monday !! Ridiculous!

In town for family my sister in law recommended the place and the fish I ordered. Sat at the bar had a blast. Service was engaging and real. They have a unique draft system that fills the pint from the bottom up. Don't push the seal on the bottom, lol ask my brother. Live music great food and staff it's a gem.

The service was spot on. The restaurant was amazing and very on par for the name, not to loud but not quite. The food was absolutely wonderful. I will definitely be going again

High priced, and the hotsauce recipe was ripped off by the manager from the previous restaurant Posado's. I ate enough at Posado's to know who the previous manager was.

Best fajitas ever and great service. If you're looking for a Mexican/Cajun fusion rei can't imagine you would find any better than Tia Juanita's Fish Camp!!

Great margarita's and food was awesome Left a 40 percent tip for the bar tender as the service was top notch.
