I just realized I didn't write a review for my favorite Korean hotpot restaurant, so here it is. If you want to try something authentic and different, you need to try this place. I found this place by chance a few years ago because I was looking for good Korean near work. I only come here in the cold months because these places are known for its hotpots, too hot for the summer months. This is a small family run Korean restaurant. It's not fancy by any means, but I have always enjoyed the food. Each Korean restaurant is a little different than the next and that makes it interesting. I had the Yuk Jai Gay many times as well as the pork bone soup and I say again the food is really good. This is a place to have a nice quite lunch. Park around the back and enter through the back door. It is most authentic and most of their customers are Korean. Please give this review a thumbs up 6032 Dempster Morton Grove Il.

The kimchi was homemade, with good bang, but still fresh and appropriate wiciness. Fasting was delicious and the soon daeguk broth was nourishing. My Korean family members felt that this is one of the few restaurants they wanted to visit while we were in Chicago on weekends, so that it says a lot.

Very good Korean homestyle food. Tastes like an authentic hole in the wale restaurant you would eat at in Seoul. Very hard to find this real traditional style of Korean hotpot in the US.
