The sheer variety of candies on offer left us both in awe, but what truly set this place apart was the owner’s exceptional knowledge and enthusiasm. As a tourist from Canada, I’ve visited Fort Lauderdale numerous times, and I always make it a point to stop by the Moon Candy and Gift Store. On this occasion, which happened to be Halloween, the roads around the candy store were closed off. I managed to find a parking spot in the back and entered through the rear door, which I was quite pleased about. Just as I stepped inside, my phone rang. To avoid being rude, I decided to step outside to take the call, but the person behind the counter made a rather snarky comment about it, joking, “I guess I’m going to have to lock the back door.” This put me off a bit, so I abandoned my call, browsed the store, and made a few purchases before leaving....

The candy store in Wilton Manors, Florida, is a delightful and whimsical haven for candy lovers. With its vibrant atmosphere, wide selection of candies including international flavors, and friendly staff, it offers a fantastic experience. The quality and freshness of the candies are excellent, and the pricing is fair. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to satisfy their sweet tooth or indulge in nostalgia. Reminds me of Chamblin's Bookmine in Jax but for candy and novelties. Candies I didn't know they still made from my Midwest 80s childhood, international versions of familiar sweets, funny gifts and candles. The owner, Antonio, was friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Such a cheerful and happy neighborhood too. Réservez une table maintenant

I must say, I found another store down the street that has better chocolate covered gummy bears. Still love the variety got some European sweets for my British friend who enjoyed a familiar brand from back home.
