Until our dishes arrived, I thought this place was a bit expensive. But the food was very good and a fair value and totally recommended to try. The places feel worthy, the host is impeccable, it was friendly and knowledgeable, the server wasn't up to its level, it was friendly, but not completely venerated in providing great service, still being fully familiar or finding out about dishes he wasn't sure. He was very pleasant, but the inquiries were forgotten and needed memories of this kind of thing. Regardless, try this place because the food is tasty. Oh, the chairs are armless and accessible and vegan and vegetarian choices were comfortably accommodated by the menu.
Hi Victor, and the entire staff at Tokie’s, As we enter the third year of this challenging pandemic, we miss you guys and gals so much. We are still hoping that Victor will retire in Costa Rica, near our town so that we may once again, sit at the sushi bar and eat the most wonderful creations with the best fish and the kindest people. Always a delight! Your salmon sashimi is my absolute favorite: it's reasonably priced, served in generous portions, and is incredibly fresh every time! Another dish I love is the Tofu Steak; the combination of three flavors with the broth, onions, and mushrooms is unlike anything I've tried before—so savory and delicious! We consistently experience great service and fantastic food whenever we visit. This is definitely our go-to sushi spot!
I've been visiting Tokies since the 1980s when they were located at the charter site in Foster City. It was always a fantastic experience with delicious food. Now at Tokies Downtown, they've elevated the atmosphere with a wonderful bar and bartender! The food is still really good, but now you can enjoy your meal along with drinks at the bar. I definitely recommend trying their sashimi!

The sushi here is fresh and delicious. I'm particularly particular about the quality of the fish when I enjoy sushi, and this place consistently delivers excellent quality. Another highlight is the wonderful family that runs the restaurant—they're incredibly friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it!
The rolls are average. (Vin's special and Jeffrey tasted ok) the chawanmushi is a little watery but tasted delicious and was generous with ingredients!
Best sushi place in San Mateo. Recommended by a friend and did not disappoint. The fish was fresh and delicious.
First time and I love the food. Everything is excellent. Service is great. I would come back to eat again.
