We visited Limburg a couple of weeks ago and we decided to have a brief lunch here before taking our train back. The day was pleasant and we ate out (in a small but peculiar square)Since we had little time we tried only a specialty, Flammkuche, without tasting more complex recipes (which are available in a different menu and which, according to what I saw from other tables looked tasty and abundant). This Alsatian specialty was excellent: crunchy pastry and savoury filling. Service was rather slow, because there was only one person for many clients, but this testifies a) that the place has a familiar conduction and b) that even a simple dish is made freshly and, so to say, express! This little bar-restaurant is located in the very old center of Limburg, in a charming old Fachwerkhaus. The meals they serve are simple yet delicious, and they also have a small but selected beer menu. Prices are decent. I would totally visit it again. The dish of the day (Forelle Müllerin Art) and 0.5 of beer costed me 12 euros.

Super Shop, thumb high : outside you can enjoy the view of old, semi-concrete houses and within the super rustic ambience : gives everything the heart of cake, flame cake to baguette, also for late hunger... People, whether service or guest, all warm and beautiful:

Popped in on the way to the local Cathedral. Very old but clean place where service was very efficient. Lady was very polite. The Flammkuchen with beer was delicious. I would like to try other thing from the menu in the future.

Absolutely great food and atmosphere. Went to Limburg for a whiskey fest and headed over to Tonne for some food and wine. Had the flankutchen and panini with some great beer. Service was superb and prices cheap.

originally stopped for a few beers, but soon decided to eat here. I had a flare with tomato, feta, rucola and wobble. great introduction to good German food. also quite favorable
