Tony's Pizza Hickory

Called 4 times to place order on the phone. Finally had the phone answered and placed on hold for 5+ minutes. Gave up trying to place a phone order and ordered online via Slice through Google and order was confirmed for pickup at 8:50 p.m. Upon arrival was informed Tony's doesn't take orders via Slice and had no record of the order. Guy behind the counter said it would be 35 minutes for a pizza but they were closing at 9 p.m. Not sure what the hell is going on but it seems like they don't want any orders after 8 p.m. Called Slice and they had no record of Tony's no longer accepting the orders. This was my first and last visit. I would be better off making the pizza myself. The tables were all dirty and there were food crumbs on the floor. The bathroom was unkempt and the staff was unfriendly. I ordered two pizzas and salads, and the total came to $52, including drinks. The salads had tomatoes with black spots, and the pizzas had little to no marinara sauce and tasted bad. I watched the pizzas being made and noticed that there didn’t seem to be any fresh ingredients; everything looked like it came from a can or pre-packaged bags. This place is overpriced and overrated!

What an awful first impression. Dirty tables, soda fountain not working, cranky cashier and unhappy pizzaiolo. Our party ordered and our food was spread out. Half the people were dove eating by the time my pie was ready. And it was incomplete. How does one makes pepperoni pizza without pepperoni? Tony's pizza knows how, just give out a cheese pizza. I'm undecided on a return visit. Bad day or lose money. Definitely my worse experience at pizza restaurant. Might I recommend Greenway Pizza in Morganton or if further afield Pupatella in Virginia.

The staff was friendly, but the service was quite slow. I was told my food would be ready in five minutes, but it took over half an hour. There seems to be no management present to oversee things. I noticed that friends of the employees received their food more quickly, and it felt like the speed of service depended on how good someone looked in short shorts. Réservez une table maintenant

The food here is consistently good, but unfortunately, the service leaves much to be desired. The restaurant lacks cleanliness, and the staff often appears disorganized, which leads to delays in receiving your food. If you decide to visit during busy times, be prepared for a longer wait and the possibility that your order will be incorrect.

The service here is truly warm and welcoming. Both the employees and the food were exceptional. The pizza and wings were the best I've had in quite some time. I will definitely be returning whenever I get the opportunity.

Best Pizza in Hickory . The Decor is tight also all NYC stuff ! Been there, 300 times at least ! Will be back ! It changed owner's, while I was still in NC ! Pizza didn't change ! Yum.

The restaurant had a friendly atmosphere, and everything was clean. The staff was great, creating a lively vibe. The menu is packed with a variety of dishes that I can't wait to try!

Please address the outdoor lighting issues. That sign hasn’t been illuminated for nine years! On a positive note, I absolutely love the food—it’s the best in Hickory!
