Toyoda Sushi - Réservation de table

First up was the Sashimi: The platter was visually stunning and tasted great! The fish was fresh and served in generous portions – definitely a highlight. Next, we tried the Chicken Katsu: Unfortunately, the chicken was quite tough and not juicy at all. The cabbage slaw was disappointing as well; it lacked sweetness and crunch. Then there was the Beef Sukiyaki: This dish was mostly filled with vegetables and noodles, with perhaps only four thin slices of beef on top. The onions were not caramelized, making the sukiyaki taste primarily like soy sauce without the natural sweetness of the onions. We also ordered three bowls of rice, but they were not as moist and tender as we had hoped....

A true hole-in-the-wall, we had a fantastic dinner at Toyoda. The fish was top quality, the portions were generous, the staff was friendly, and the sushi chefs were lightning fast. I had the sushi plate and a couple pieces in particular tasted so much like they were right out of the ocean that I immediately triggered fond memories of sailing. It felt like the moment with the food critic in Ratatouille. I honestly almost cried. This immediately joined our list of top sushi restaurants in the area and we'll definitely be back. Be aware, this restaurant is cash, Venmo, or Zelle only.

As for the service, the owner seems a bit intense and intimidating in her eagerness to serve the tables in this small and lively restaurant, but the other staff members are friendly. Atmosphere-wise, it’s cozy and lively; I haven’t encountered such a busy little spot like this in Seattle before.

Incredible place, limited hours of operation but feels comfortable and homey while turning things around incredibly quickly. The rainbow Maki roll was good but not great, while the sushi dinner and karaage were excellent. Had a great carafe of sake as well. Réservez une table maintenant

The sushi here is fantastic! It's best to arrive at least 10 minutes before opening, as there's often a long line. This is some of the best sushi I've tried in the area. The atmosphere is cozy, and the service is excellent as well.

Wow! This is my favorite sushi spot in Seattle. It's the perfect place for traditional flavors and service that makes you feel like you're in a Tokyo sushi house. You definitely won't regret visiting Helen!

I personally think this is the best sushi restaurant in Seattle. I have been eating here since 1991. I have never had a bad meal. I strongly recommend it.

Great atmosphere. Slices of fish on sushi were huge. Also tempura ice cream was amazing. Shame they're only open 2 hours a day, 4 days a week! Réservez une table maintenant

Amazing sushi in a modestly sized location. The only problem is that so many people want to eat there. They also do take-out!
