The atmosphere is pleasant, mainly due to the other customers. However, the food is just average pub fare. Unfortunately, I found the chicken parmesan lacking, as it came without ham, featured bland rubbery cheese, and accompanied by soggy, flavorless coleslaw. The service was nearly nonexistent; you have to pay at the bar for your food and collect it when your buzzer alerts you. The staff members who do walk around mainly just clear away dirty plates and empty glasses, if you're lucky. Honestly, even McDonald's offers a better experience. It's clear that Highfields has prioritized being understaffed with a prepayment system over actual hospitality.
I visited the restaurant for the dinner special, but when I arrived at 7:30 PM, they were already sold out. Seriously? That’s poor planning! I ordered fish, but the chips tasted like cardboard—definitely need to switch suppliers. Also, I was seated at a window table that had a steel mesh support, making it impossible to tuck my feet underneath. Who thought those tables were a good idea?

The staff member in the play area is fantastic! She has a great talent for calming and entertaining kids. My 3-year-old and 6-year-old daughters had a wonderful time there.

Staff were super friendly, helpful and no problem when ask a question. From Julie in reception to Joseph in the dining room. Food was well presented and very tasty.
