I used to think of this place as my Go to place. I would have celebratory dinners with family; pre-race day pasta dinners; and when we just felt like Italian food...period. In May, I spoke with the owner about having a dinner party of 20 on a Saturday night in June. He turned me away, telling me that was his busy time and he couldn 't afford to give me that time. I had to go somewhere else. A few weeks later, we went for dinner at around 6:30 on a Saturday night and found a party of 18 in the middle of the room...the rest of the place was empty. Tonight I went to get some pasta. Party of ONE. Server went back and forth...serving tables, taking orders, from three tables. Never sat me. I stood...
Stopped here really late (they were closing soon) but they managed to make the food we wanted in no time. Waitress was so nice, the pastas were great, the sauce was delicious, great food overall. But the quantity for each dishes seemed less for the price they are charging (compared to any other restaurant). But hey, little less calories means little less work out. Cant complain as the food was so delicious. Will deff go back to try more dishes.
I have visited Trattoria Ravello several times for a slice of pizza or a hot sandwich, but I have yet to try a whole cake. My experiences have been mixed. Twice, I noticed a man who seemed to be the owner assisting behind the counter, and he came across as quite bossy with the staff. I genuinely felt sorry for the cook and the young cashier. Honestly, I wouldn’t want my child working under him.
Everyone was very friendly, and the restaurant was spotless. However, it seemed understaffed. It took quite a while for our server to reach our table, and I think they were the only staff member working that shift. A couple left after waiting for some time without being attended to. Our food was good, but it seems like the Englishtown location has better staffing.

Our food was good, but their other location in Englishtown seems to be better staffed.
Been here a few times to pick up a slice or two and some hot sandwiches. Haven't ordered an entire pie yet. It's been hit or miss each time. Twice going there, what seemed to be the owner, was there helping behind the counter and he was extremely bossyto his workers. I actually felt bad for the cook and the young cashier. First time ordering from here. Keep this short and sweet . We got the traditional pie with ricotta and sausage . Crust was thin and crispy. Pizza was very good. Nice blend of cheese and sauce. Pizza had great flavor . We will most likely be ordering from them again in the near future.
Good Italian food in a nice, clean location. BYO. Service was fast and friendly! Our service Connor was wonderful.
