Went in search looking for a Restaurant close by the motel,as plane was delayed and was really hungry, thought the Chinese would be quick, what a mistake, waiter cheeky, when the mixed entree came he said it didn't look too good, i did not eat i, instead of jut plain calamari, the chef had decided to cover it with loads of chopped chillie and spring onions which made tasting the Calamari no existent. The glasses of wine were $9.00 each to which he said that's not very good wine, so exhausted i ordered a bottle thinking it would be lovely quality and i could keep it for the next day. Turned out to be Jacobs Creek Merlot Vintage 2016. Usually $11 .99 max... $48.00 for the bottle of table wine...
My partner and I decided to try this restaurant out of curiosity after driving past it many times. It was a Saturday night. A few tables occupied. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very nice, friendly young lady but that's about where customer service ended. We ordered an entree of prawn toast, which we had to ask about a few times. My duck soup came out first, then about 10 minutes later, my partner's meal came out. We were half way through our meals and had given up on the entree, when the waiter appeared with our prawn toast. While I can't complain about the food, the customer service is almost non-existent. During the evening I observed that staff were more attentive to the Asian family...

Located in the Cairns Hotel on Florence Street Cairns, this has to be one of the best Chinese restaurants I have been to in the last 20 years. The food was absolutely amazing.....especially the Pork Spare Ribs in Peking Sauce. We shared a banquet meal which was to die for. If you are visiting or live in Cairns and you love your Chinese food, then this is the place to go. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

The treasure cove restaurant was linked with the hotel we were staying at next door, so they provide the breakfast. In short, the breakfast was garbage. We literally had a coffee and left to go find something to eat. I've had nasty food on the mean streets of Asia for years and this place took things to a new level.
We had entrées, all delicious and fresh and served very promptlyThen we had 4 mains all aboard the lazy susan, with fried rice, the meals were of high standard, and our drinks were continuously updated.A great night, very few people dining, so not loud.

We really enjoyed our dinner. It was good to wander away from the Esplanade and find this restaurant. The food was very tasty and fresh. Service was attentive.
