Came here after dinner on a Tuesday evening. It wasn't too busy with good ambiance, not too loud or quiet, brightly lit and looks like some people are studying here. We got a key lime pie, blueberry and maple walnut cheese cake. Looks like they've changed their recipe than the last time I came years ago. Their claws used to be way bigger and more dense/ heavier. The slices are more like 1/16 than 1/8. Also it was very light, taste like they've increased the cream to cheese ratio. When I needed to use the restroom, I discovered it was located in the basement. Fortunately, the staff quickly provided me with a key to the elevator that took me to the right location next to Al Porto Restaurant. I enjoyed a delicious and crispy ham and cheese baguette, prepared in a classic French style, along with excellent coffee and a slice of key lime cheesecake. The interior design is distinctive and aligns perfectly with their theme. I highly recommend trying a warm apple cider alongside a slice of raspberry cheesecake. I enjoy the smooth jazz and bossa nova playing in the background, and there's a comforting aroma of tea blended with coffee. The staff is patient and laid-back, and they are genuinely friendly overall.
Trees is my favourite brand in town and Trees in Gastown is the best location of all Trees cafes. Met a Japanese lady there and she was so so nice, I had really specific requests for my drink and she made it perfectly. If you are waiting to hear the steam clock (it sounds every 15 minutes), you can have a coffee and a cheesecake at Tree Organic Coffee while you wait. To be honest, I believe that this is the best cheesecake that I had in a long time. You must try it out, it was exquisite.
