I bought a medium Rice and peas with vegetable as I am a vegetarian, when I got home and opened the container I was very disappointed. There was a lot of rice and a small portion of veggies. I also bought a large red peas soup and was highly disappointed because the container has a lot of dumplings and potatoes but a small amount of liquid and no meat. Looking at my hard earn money going into the garbage pain my heart. Please enlighten the customers as to how the portion size are especially the vegetarian who ordered like me and use your descriptions when serving soup. If I wanted all food in my soup I would have asked for it. I dont think I will ever return there again as a first time custo...
I have been coming here for many many years and I can honestly say this is the BEST tropical jerk around . I know there are other locations but I always go to the one on Jerusalem. The jerk is always juicy and flavorful. I get the rice and peas and it is perfect!!! The curry goat is on point and they definitely do not skimp or try to give you only bones. I tried the bread for the first time there last week and it was soft and sweet but not overly sweet. I would always come back here.
I had an amazing experience at this restaurant, especially due to the excellent service. I ordered takeout for dinner, and the price per person was between $30 and $50. The food was outstanding, earning a perfect score of 5. The service was very good, rated at 4, and the atmosphere was also a solid 4. I highly recommend trying the Sweet Jerk Chicken, Jerk Chicken, Fried Chicken, Rice and Peas, Stew Chicken, Curry Chicken, and Jerk Pork.
I just placed an order and received my meal, but unfortunately, everything was cold and lacked any flavor. The oxtails, peas and rice were spicy, but it tasted more like it was cooked with pepper sauce - completely flavorless and very bland. I also ordered jerk chicken and paid for extra sauce, but there was barely any on the tray. The jerk chicken was also unsatisfying. Overall, this meal was really disappointing and disgusting!

My daughter ordered two small pieces of dark meat fried chicken, but when we got home, we discovered it was white meat instead. I called to find out how to resolve the issue, but I was put on hold for over 25 minutes without any explanation. I would never return to that restaurant, and I hope others will check their orders before leaving. Tropical Jerk on Jerusalem Ave is not worth your money.
