I enjoy the smoothies and wraps at this restaurant, but they always seem confused about pickup orders. Every time I come in, they have to have a conversation among themselves to figure it out. During my most recent visit, I waited almost 20 minutes once I got to the store and watched 5 people who ordered after me receive their smoothies before me. I only ordered one smoothie off the menu. It seems like this location could benefit from some better organization and communication.
This is the second time I've found pieces of plastic in my smoothie. I had to keep spitting out plastic bits while trying to drink it, and I couldn’t even finish my order. This issue has only occurred at the Tropical Smoothie Cafe in Virginia Square; other locations I've visited have been fine. Having plastic in my smoothie is completely unacceptable, especially given how much I've spent here. I'm sharing this review to warn others, and I won’t be coming back to this location.
I absolutely adore this Tropical Smoothie Cafe! Firstly, its proximity to my workplace is incredibly convenient. Secondly, the food is consistently fresh and delicious. Most importantly, I genuinely feel like a valued customer here. Maria, one of the managers, was quick to address an issue I had during my first visit, and ever since then, she recognizes me when I come in and greets me with a warm smile.
Young guy who took my order was very friendly. I asked about changing a smoothie ingredient and his recommendation was delicious. Food came out fast and was very good. The CHIPOTLE CHICKEN CLUB and the SUNRISE SUNSET from Tropical Smoothie Cafe were as DELICIOUS as always. The delivery could have been a bit quicker, but overall, no complaints. The menu offers great options every time.
