I arrived 45 minutes before friends for dinner, to catch up on emails. I asked for a 2nd glass of wine and was refused. We are a cafe, RSA. You must order food. It was 5.30 pm. Rude to the extreme. Other patrons where equally distressed at the attitude. The owner of the place was there and agreed with the backpacker staff. I have lived in Coogee for 20 years. Disgraceful. I had to leave and make other arrangements. Barzura didn't have the same pathetic policy.
My boyfriend and I had dinner here last Friday night. We were visiting from Brisbane and hadn't booked anything but happened upon this place. I had the Atlantic Salmon special which was a generous serve with lots of salad. My date had the surf'n'turf which was really excellent and amazing value. The staff were nice too. This place definitely exceeded our expectations.
Go the healthy hash stack it was awesome. Coffee great. Nice ambience and staff with excellent large serves and a wide variety of choices for breakfast. Ate at 2 other local Coogee cafes for breakfast and Tropicana was the best by a golden mile. Thanks for the great breakfast Tropicana.
After a big day of walking by the beach we decided to give Tropicana Caffe a try for Sunday dinner. We were both very hungry but had trouble finishing the large meals. Both the Pork Ribs and Lasagna were excellent. It is on the list for a revisit. Réservez une table maintenant
I can say that they have the best eggs benedict in Sydney with all fresh ingredients & smoked salmon. Staff were friendly let and service was really fast. Will definitely visit this lovely cafe next time make my way to peaceful Coogee Beach.
We were at Coogee for the week and ate at the Tropicana three times. Each time we left completely satisfied with the service and quality of the food. We recommend everything. The staff were always welcoming.
Greeted by a very uninterested and unhelpful staff member that obviously didnt want be there...rude, expensive, overpriced, wouldnt go there again.
Tropicana cafe in Coogee is a large cafe on Coogee Bay RoadIt is old and whilst the atmosphere is good, could benefit from a revamp. Réservez une table maintenant

"I rate Grandma's. Caters mostly to the businesses around it but its a unique concept with very fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. Quick service and friendly staff. Only shortfall is very limited seating."
