True Grounds - Réservation de table

I find myself returning to this restaurant because I live nearby and genuinely want to enjoy it. I think it thrives mostly on the atmosphere they create—a cute local coffee shop with a hint of a queer vibe. However, the food is really just average and takes a long time to arrive. I ordered the “chipotle” breakfast burrito, which was oddly watery and lacking in flavor. The bagels in the breakfast sandwich tasted like the ones you’d get from a supermarket like Stop and Shop. Considering the prices, the food doesn’t seem worth it to me. I just don’t understand the hype surrounding this place; maybe I’m missing something, but it just doesn’t resonate with me.

I want to start by mentioning that I haven't tried any actual meals at True Grounds, just the pastries. The coffee is excellent, and I have to say, the chocolate chip cookies are incredible. It sometimes feels a bit unusual to order a cookie when there are so many other options, but I can't help but get one every time. The seating situation is quite decent, and the staff are friendly. The only downside is the parking situation. Being in Somerville, street parking and options in the side streets can be quite limited.

I've been a regular at True Grounds for years, and I can't praise the food and service enough. However, today really stood out! My girlfriend and I usually come here weekly for their delicious breakfast sandwiches (the sunny spread is absolutely fantastic), but this week she couldn't have a bagel due to Passover. The staff went above and beyond to provide us with a to-go container of the spread, so she could enjoy it on matzoh instead! If I could give them 10 out of 5 stars, I absolutely would!

My favorite coffee shop in the neighborhood, hands down. The staff is so warm and friendly and they make a killer latte. Some people often get frustrated with their food service wait times, but True Grounds has a pretty small staff with small kitchen space, and some impatient folks don't have realistic expectations, in my opinion. Love this place for a morning coffee or afternoon pick me up Réservez une table maintenant

This is one of the best coffee shops for quality coffee that I've encountered in the Boston area. While I'm not particularly fond of the atmosphere, which could definitely use some updating and air conditioning, the espresso and espresso drinks were outstanding and absolutely worth it. The staff is also very friendly.

This is an excellent coffee shop. I've been visiting for a couple of years, and what I appreciate most about them, especially recently, is their openness and honesty regarding price increases and staff changes. These are tough times, but this place is doing the right thing and serving fantastic coffee!

The staff are extremely nice and the service was great. I came here to grab a coffee and do work, unfortunately there is no wifi here, so plan accordingly. Their google page says they close at 5pm, but I got kicked out at 2pm. Please update your hours of operations!

Fine coffee shop with limited menu . Overnight chocolate coconut oats was good— sweet an filling. $7. NO WI-FI. So you must use hotspot if need internet on your computer. Réservez une table maintenant

Great food and great vibes but they’re never open when they say they’re gonna be open and their kitchen is closed half the time. Unreliable.

The spinach croissant was delightful—flaky and perfectly buttery. Yum!
