Truxton's American Bistro

Unfortunately, I believe we received what 's known as the Black Treatment . I had heard about this all my life, but didn 't think I would ever be the recipient of such treatment in my life. We chose to take my little granddaughter out for breakfast, thus mom and Dad selected Truxton 's Santa Monica location. As grandma, I selected to get there early and make arrangements for our cozy party of six. It was anything but hospitable! I was seated at a table for about 20 minutes and not one waiter came to ask if I wanted water or coffee or anything! The Manager or possibly the owner watched from her viewing point as she directed her small staff to cater to other diners who came in after I was seat...

When you walk in the door, you know you are in for a vacation. Great decor and lively with people. Luckily we were able to build a back table next to the gate (not a great table but better than nothing! which didn't phase us in as we knew we had been eating after having a great meal here two days earlier. I ordered the maple fried rosemary chicken sandwich, my friend had the fried chicken and we tried the Chinese chicken salad. Very tasty and fast service.

Every food item I've had from here has been amazing. I have only gotten carry out (maybe 10-15 times in the past 2 years) but my favorite item is their breakfast burrito with candied jalapeños. I wish they had more customization on their regular food items but it won't deter me from ordering from here.

Love this place. Been to another location and they both have great fast service. Food is always great. Got the spicy cali burrito and it was AMAZING. Tried my friends taquito but it was nothing special, just ok. They serve brunch everyday.

This is one of my favorite places. I enjoy this location to dine in outside. The food is always delicious.
