We visited UDawgU on National Hot Dog Day and enjoyed a BOGO deal on all hot dogs. We ordered two jumbo and two regular hot dogs to share with the family, all prepared in the classic Chicago style. We also got a large fry to split. The food was served promptly, and the staff was friendly. Both the restaurant and the outdoor patio were clean, even though it was quite busy due to the promotion. Overall, the experience was well-executed and reminiscent of a true Chicago dining experience.
Looks like owner 3 now.. Went from fast food to, sit down and fast to slow. Everyone’s confused with the new electronic handheld touchpad guy.. just be old school. Like guy number 1.. if the cook isn’t here anymore I’m not coming back. That’s why we come.. Btw food is still good.. I don’t want to bash the old women, but come on.. good to see her working but. Makes me feel Bad. confused with the tie-dye theme, can’t even tell who’s the employee
For my meal, I had a hot dog and sweet potato fries. The hot dog was decent, but the bun was a bit soggy. Unfortunately, the sweet potato fries were overcooked, so I might skip those next time. However, I did enjoy the two dill pickle spears on my hot dog—what a nice touch! I'd definitely consider giving it another shot and maybe try something different from the menu.
