I rented a car and went as soon as it opened. There were 3 staff members and only one was Japanese, but all of them, including the non-Japanese staff, could speak Japanese, so communication was not a problem. I was able to sample 3 types of coffee and purchase my favorite coffee. The chocolate sample was delicious, so I bought it as well. Be sure to eat ice cream. Although I did not participate in the tour where you can experience roasting, there was an area where you could freely walk around the coffee farm and there were few other tourists, so I was able to enjoy the tour in a relaxed manner. UCC Coffee Estate Farm is along the slopes of Hulualoa. It's charming plantation style house with large picture windows and ample decks give an unobsturcted eagles eye view of Kailua Kona. They have free tasting of their Kona Estate coffee and other Kona coffee's from local farms. My personal favorite is the Whiskey Barrel Aged coffee. They have tours and you can roast your own coffee with a master roaster (make appointment). Of course they have an esspresso bar where I had their Affagato made with their own Kona coffee ice cream and shot of espresso. I was in coffee heaven.
We had a great time doing the roastmaster experience tour here! The surroundings are beautiful and a great way to learn about true Kona coffee and getting to roast your own beans to your exact preference was a cool experience I don't think you'll find anywhere else! Staff was very friendly and helpful. All around I'd highly recommend this if you are a coffee connoisseur (or even if you aren't but aspire to be one! I don't even like coffee and I still enjoyed it very much.
This coffee farm is higher up on the hills of Kona, providing a little cooler weather most days and a beautiful view of the Kona coast. The staff is extremely friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxing. It's a smaller farm than Mountain Thunder or Greenwell Farms, so they didn't have the guided tour throughout the facilities, but still worth visiting if you want to try different coffees from around the big island

Local store front for coffee plantation. Tours available including coffee roasting. Generally recommended, although they roast their kona to city (dark, just shy of French roast) so expect a more bitter bite from their kona coffee.
Coffee bar at a working coffee orchard serving 100% Kona house roasted coffee. An intense flavor experience. Get the ice cream and espresso. Wow.
All staff are friendly I had high expectations because it is a famous coffee in Japan. It has a unique flavor Affokato is really delicious
Great Afogoto. Ice cream is made from their coffee beans by a local company. It is only available at UCC coffee farm on the Big Island.

We enjoyed the great view with coffee trees . Sample coffee is a great way to taste different styles of local grown kona coffee
