I was given a gift voucher for a Seafood platter for 2.It consisted of 6 dry looking oysters in the shell, 6 suspect prawns with lose heads, 3 finger sized crumbed fish, 4 finger sized crumbed calamari. A small bowl of chips, small bowl of salad with large chopped up greens., and 1 TINY dish of mayo.It also came with a complementary glass of wine. This was said to be worth $135. On the menu it stated it was $80 and came with bugs and salmon. We asked about the bugs and salmon and they said out of stock so they said they had already put extra food on the plate and that we could have another glass of wine. JUST PITTIFUL. This was a GROUPON DEAL. What a darn rhort that is.Just don't go.
Visited with a group and it was an experience. The drinks order was fine, but when the meals arrived, they weren't quite what we ordered. Only small ****-up's (such as grilled fish rather than crumbed), however they were tasty. The ambience isn't brilliant, but we did eat very early and although the menus themselves were pretty greasy and could do with replacement, the rest of the place was fine. The wait-staff are friendly, but there did seem to be a lack of urgency or direction.Overall, whilst I wouldn't necessarily say don't go, I wouldn't especially be looking to return in a hurry.
We entered this establishment because the signage boasted best Gold Coast restaurant of 2016 or some such thing. The menu looked enticing and was reasonably priced. We sat down and ordered drinks. The waiter came back to take our order. We asked for the seafood platter for two - his response was to go and check with the chef if they had the ingredients. He returned to advise that they couldn't do the seafood platter and were also completely out of burger meat. So we had our drinks and left. The waiter was lovely though and the drinks were good. Won't be going back though.
We should have realised that no patrons on a busy night was a warning but the advertised $80 seafood platter for two was appealing while we were on the Gold Coast. It wasn't until after drinks had arrived and we tried to order that we were informed that they didn't have the ingredients and couldn't offer the platter. We were also advised that other items on the menu were not available. There was not even a suggestion of alternative options or recommendations. We were really disappointed with this experience.

My spouse and I, who are locals, decided to have a date night and gave Taco Tuesday a try. These are not your traditional Mexican tacos, but they are definitely delicious. The tacos are made with soft shells, which I prefer, and have gourmet fillings. My favorite was the pulled pork, while my husband loved the garlic prawn ones. We received friendly service and enjoyed a lovely glass of Sauvignon Blanc. We will definitely be returning.
We had a fantastic time at this restaurant. The staff was very welcoming and treated us like old friends. The food was outstanding, especially the seafood platter that we shared. The manager even came by to see how we were liking our meal and recommended we try the freshly made caramel cheese cake, which was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be returning in the future.
Bought a coupon from Australia Groupon just before our Gold Coast Trip.Luckily, I made a right choice. Ultra Lounge has a nice environment, suitable for family with a young kids and awesome foods. However, need to improve on the lighting... but in overall, we are all happy with it...
Just returned after a lunch using a Groupon voucher. Food was very good, especially the oysters, plenty of seafood and a good variety. The waitress was attentive and effecient. All in all a great lunch.

Food was great, I had Barra Taco and it was very tasty, my daughter enjoyed a burger but my husband said ribs were a bit bland. Nice atmosphere, smart casual. Would definitely go again.
Away from the main strip on Surfers, Ultralounge offers a modern more mature bar in - as the name suggests - a nice and comfortable lounge setting.
