Umi Japanese Fine Dining

Umi Japanese Cuisine is my favorite place for sushi in town. I wish I could say that my four years of being stationed in Japan lend credibility to this review, but unfortunately, they don’t—I don’t remember the taste of anything from 20 years ago. However, I want to offer a helping hand to those of us who want to explore the various sushi rolls but don’t know what they look like. Here are my top three favorites so far: The Charles Roll, The Surf Turf Roll, and a roll that was on special. I also picked a sake that has the letter ‘G’ in its name, like my name. This place is hands down the best sushi spot in FXBG. My go to, is the Dynamite Roll w/ Torched Scallop on Top! I also tried the Megan Roll this time which did not disappoint with its spicy tuna goodness. Go there for lunch...a lot!

This place was excellent to eat at. My kids and I went here, and we were very surprised at the options. The service was very friendly. Our server was patient t with us and checked in on us throughout our time here.

The food was fresh and delicious. The portion sizes were so big! The waitstaff was so kind and attentive. I could not have asked for better service or food. This restaurant is a must go for everyone in the area! Réservez une table maintenant

Don't believe the estimated time they give you for your pickup order. They have never been on time; you can expect to wait at least 15 minutes longer than the longest time they quote you.

After receiving the wrong food in my order, hours later I was puking from food poisoning from the food. I don’t know what was wrong but I would be careful ordering food here.

A real hidden gem in the Fredericksburg area. This will be my go to place when in town. Very reasonably priced, super tasty and quick. Our service was also super polite.
