Unico Ristorante - Réservation de table

My partner and I visited Unico last night on a whim, and it turned out to be the best restaurant experience we've had in a long time. The ambiance was beautiful and the food was wonderful. As someone who is quite particular about dining at Italian restaurants, I am often left disappointed. Unico, however, exceeded my expectations. The entrees and mains were delicious, and the portion sizes were generous. The prices were reasonable for the quality of food we received. This restaurant is not ideally located - its above Coles in Five Dock. It is however very clean with a modern Mediterranean decor and pleasant music playing in the background . The staff are in uniform and very attentive. There are some unusual but tasty and well presented dishes. Such interesting food here! Think crumbed olives stuffed with meat and served on a lovely metal 'tree' complete with birds: polenta fritters with a creamy gorgonzola sauce; a gorgeous egg fettucine bathed in a wild boar and porcini sauce; vongole ( clam) pasta with crunchy bottarga; swordfish rolls, stuffed with olives, provolone, breadcrumbs and herbs and served with a delicious caponata ( sweet and sour veggies). Or you could try chef Fabio's special Zuppa de Pesce, a rich fish stew which is truly delicious. Desserts aplenty, including a tiramisu, gorgeous pastries, gelatos and of course, affogato. I used to frequent this restaurant before Unico opened, and I absolutely loved it! I had been wanting to try Unico for a while now, and I was finally able to. I was truly impressed. The food was delicious, the wine was excellent, and the waitress was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable and engaging. The prices were a bit high, and it was concerning to see only one other couple dining there on a Friday night. They just need to attract more customers and create a better atmosphere. There is so much potential here! I have seen this restaurant succeed before, and it is a really nice place. You guys can do it! I would definitely return. Wanted a Italian seafood restaurant for mother's day lunch. Looked at NORMAL menu and was impressed so booked.Turned up.....put us 4 at a table for 2. Ok can handle this but then they had a 'special' mother's day menu..totally overpriced and without most of their NORMAL menu. Trying to be innovative but lost the plot. Was not advised of this. Not advised of changes and no apologies and the attitude was amazing. Won't be back.

This is the 3rd time I have gone to this restaurant. The service is great, the food is nice and they are set up for kids. They have colouring books and they put up with them when they want to play outside. They have kids meals and a great wine list. Can't go wrong with this one, highly recommend it for families. I will be going back again.

We really enjoyed our dinner. The food is simpler (e.g. less creamy sauces etc.) than in many other Italian restaurants but only because it is more traditional. Lots of variety on the menu and all of the dishes we ordered were delicious. The service was friendly, with good recommendations on what to order. Leave room for dessert!!

Had a lovely night out at Unico ristorante with a couple of friends from Italy. Favourite dish of the night was definitely the penne al ragù with blue swimmer crab meat, cherry tomatoes and cream special. Thanks again to the staff and chef for your continuos amazing food. The entree was very good, the main meal for 2 people was slow cooked beef belly was terrible, it was a piece of chewy meat between fat strips..not eatable and returned.

We had a wonderful evening at The restaurant. The food was quite delicious. We ordered the tagliatelle Ragu and the fettuccine Ragu.
