We recently held an event in the event space at Urban Growler, and it far exceeded our expectations. The venue was wonderful – spacious, well-designed, and perfect for our needs. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, creating the ideal setting for our gathering. What truly made the experience exceptional was the Urban Growler event staff. They were not only highly professional and attentive, but also genuinely enthusiastic and engaging. Kaylee, in particular, stood out for her exceptional service. Urban Growler did not disappoint. We were there for a paint your pet fundraiser and were upstairs in the event space. The staff was very nice, taking food and beverage requests for the group and delivering them upstairs. I appreciated the time one of the employees took to answer my many questions about the beer and seltzer options. I chose the Growling Mule, which was delicious. The space was welcoming, bathroom was clean, with the biggest win being the option of food at the brewery. I posted multiple pictures of the outside space and of The Barrel Room. We enjoyed our first visit and will plan on returning soon!
I find it strange that I consistently give five-star ratings to Minnesota breweries, as I strive to maintain objectivity. However, every brewery I have visited in Minnesota, including this one, deserves the highest praise. The atmosphere is fantastic, with a stunning patio that welcomes dogs. They serve delicious food, and the location is enjoyable. They often host pop-up events and markets. The beer was exceptional, leaving nothing to be desired. Minneapolis truly stands out in terms of quality.
Urban Growler is a really nice brewery tucked away in a neighborhood in St. Paul. We were looking for a fish fry and we found a good one. A “Wisconsin Style” fish fry every Friday night. The beer was good, I had their Midwest IPA and my wife a cream ale. And there was plenty of fish including a side of cole slaw, tator tots, fries or chips. The owner came over and introduced herself and asked how everything was and offered me another piece of fish which was so nice. I’ll be back.

The amount of gratitude my wife and I have for this space, cannot be contained. We’ve been here for the Indigo Girls cover band, and we’re looking forward to the queer book fair and all the other queer events! They also have an awesome beer and food selection!
Great beer and food! The Friday night Fish Fry is a near weekly tradition. Lots of.option from blend beers and hard kombucha, as well as NA options. Inclusive events and makers markets are fun!
Went for the Friday fish dinner. The good was good. Large serving. I had a couple of their 'cocktails ' and didn 't feel they were worth the money. The Mule was tasty but lacking
Friday fish fry was fabulous. I also recommend the creme Brule for desert, not to mention their great beers and seltzer.

Good beer, food, service! The nachos were a bit plain so I would recommend ordering a protein with it.
