Ordered takeout and all of the food was very fresh. There is a TON of (cooked) ramen noodles in the Asian Salad. Good ratio of nuts made for a yummy texture addition. The Basmati Rice Pilaf that comes as an optional side with the Moroccan Chicken Braise is suuuuper interesting. If you like Basmati and Rice Pilaf, that's a must (although we haven't tried the mashed potatoes, which is the other option). The chicken tendy was nice and plump, but I'm not sure what to make of the Nashville Hot part of it. It had a hint of sweet, which was pleasant, but the dark color really puts you off. The Cavatappi was a great Pasta as the Mac n Cheese. Didn't look very cheesy at first, but mixing it helped visually and the taste buds agreed. The Mango Tart was mango-y (yummy), although I would have liked more of the crust on the bottom.
The service here is so fast and courteous. Zach was amazing at getting us taken care of efficiently and kindly! The food is delicious. I always get the Grass Fed Steak because it is a great meal size and the sides are delicious. Everyone always greets us with a smile especially Zach! The ambiance is always a vibe and I love coming here with my friends! The patio is especially beautiful with the string lights and seating for everyone! If you need a place to bring the whole family, it is definitely here! Thanks again to the whole staff but especially Zach!
Definetely a go to place for a nice and cozy lunch or dinner. Great quality healthy food which tastes really good. And all that for a reasonable price. Great staff here in Aliso Viejo, attentive and flexible. Really appreciate festive menus like Thanksgiving. The main menu is mostly stable, though there are additions/changes once in a while.
First time at Urban Plates. My husband and I had the braised bowls. He had the Moroccan chicken and I had the Beef and mushrooms. They both had a really good flavor. Patrick came by our table twice making sure everything was good. Great customer service! We will be back.
