We Trowbridge and Surrounding Areas (TASA) Ladies Group have a reoccurring weekly coffee and natter meeting at Velo. Our table is booked much in advance and there can be quite a few of us turn up. We are so comfortable there that we often spend up to 3 hours chatting, drinking, and eating together. The staff go out of their way to make our visit a good experience. Issy Olivia and there is also a chap whose name escapes me, are extremely helpful if we need more tables. We have only ever encountered a problem once when I phoned in my booking because the website wouldn't let me book for some reason. Human error... no table booked for the following day... however the staff working on the Tuesday...
My close friend and I recently visited Valerosso Lounge for a catch-up and were not disappointed. The team at Valerosso takes a unique approach to dining that sets them apart. Located in the bustling side of Trowbridge, guests can enjoy shopping or catching a movie after their meal. The interior of the restaurant is vibrant and welcoming, with a variety of decorations to admire. The spacious and well-maintained toilets are located towards the back of the venue. Our meals were delicious and arrived promptly, along with our drinks and desserts. The staff accommodated my requested modifications with competence and positivity. The ingredients were fresh and the dishes were beautifully presented...
Firstly, food was amazing. Cannot fault the food. Also, I was served a young girl who was very polite and lovely. However, the staff were rushed off their feet and I could see what was quite clearly the manager sat on her computer barking orders at the staff and was very rude. I work in the hospitality industry and feel the need to speak up for those staff who are being treated with no respect by their manager. Like I said, the food was amazing and the young lady who served me was very accommodating. The manager needs to sort her attitude out.
I am really confused about the quality of the food at Valaroso, as it seems to be declining. I used to enjoy their brunch/lunch tapas, but my recent experiences have been disappointing. I had to send back two orders of Eggs Benedict and a Full English Breakfast because the poached eggs were undercooked and the breakfast fried egg was raw and cold.

The food was excellent, the staff was friendly, and the service was prompt on a busy Friday evening. I have been to several "Lounges" and this one is the best so far! The burgers were great and the atmosphere was good.
We had brunch the poached eggs were done perfect. It was for Mothers Day and they were very busy but the staff were still very attentive and the meal arrive within minutes. very pleased.
Went for a work leaving lunch. No table service so we all had to order 1 by 1 at the bar and food didn’t arrive at the same time. I waited 20 minutes and my breakfast was lukewarm.
Friendly staff who accommodated menu requests and rectified a mistake quickly. The breakfast was tasty with a good pot of tea. Great decor, clean toilets and good price.
