We stopped by Valley View Inn, confident that we’d find some comforting food. Our server, Dorothy, greeted us right away, introduced herself, and took our drink orders while providing menus. My brother opted for the French onion soup au gratin and the Chef’s Salad, both of which were delicious, and the salad was gigantic! My husband chose the hot hamburger with mashed potatoes and gravy on the side, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. I had liver and onions accompanied by pickled beets and a side salad with house dressing, all of which was tasty. To celebrate my brother’s birthday, we shared a slice of the caramel chocolate galaxy cake. Thank you, Dorothy, for your excellent service!
I’ve been here a handful of times and 2 of those times I’ve had hair in my food. This time I was questioned when I said something because there supposedly wasn’t someone with longer hair working in the kitchen when I was staring right at someone preparing food with at least 4 inch long shaggy brown hair. You all seriously need to be enforcing the use of hair nets while preparing food. As I’m human and like my food hair free, I think Im good on them for a while. But IF I do ever return, if I don’t see hairnets I’m only going to assume that my food will have hair in it and I will spare myself the experience.
The food was excellent, and the service was equally impressive. The navy bean soup was outstanding! The spaghetti with meat sauce was delicious, topped with mozzarella and served with two meatballs. The open-faced turkey sandwich was fantastic as well, accompanied by steak fries, which was a nice twist. Everything was generously smothered in gravy. We will definitely be returning!
Dining room is cozy. Evenings romantic, no real view but the parking lot, amazing food dishes, green salads, ckin, shrimp salad lge portions, amazing sour beef dumplings, chili, hot roast beef gravy. Large portions, Bar side is usually neighborhood men women after wk. Stopping in for a cool bruski Réservez une table maintenant
