Our party of 3 had dinner early on Saturday night. We appreciate good Polish food and were not disappointed. The menu had a variety of choices, including American foods. The combo plate dinners all had appeal to us. I really liked the city chicken and stuffed cabbage dinner; the chicken tasted the way my Mom's did, back in the day! The Hungarian goulash was the best we've had in the States. The schnitzel meal had good proportions including real mashed potatoes. We tried Val's Polish Kitchen tonight for the first time. What a great experience!! Service was amazing. Cathy was our waitress and was a peach. She helped us with our menu and kept checking on us thru our dinner. We had the Val's special. I can't tell you how much we enjoyed everything. Chicken dumpling soup was great and then our dinner arrived. AMAZING!! My husband is not a huge fan. BUT, really enjoyed his dinner too. The Biscuit cake was excellent also. I am not a big fan of cake and this was great. We will make the 45 minute drive to come back again. Thank you for a nice dinner and a good price.
As a discerning Polish girl, I can confidently say this restaurant is the best I've experienced in a long time. The kapusta is flavorful, not overly salty, and every dish is packed with taste! This place is a definite must-visit and has earned the top spot on my list. The pickle soup and Val’s Polish combo are exceptional! Please don’t change a thing. The service is friendly and attentive, without feeling rushed, and the restaurant is very clean and beautifully decorated. Food rating: 5/5.

Soooo good. There is no need to drive all the way to Hamtramack anymore when this is in my backyard! Cabbage rolls, potato pancakes and dill pickle soup are the best. Prices are great, staff is super friendly and it's cute and clean inside. Treat yourself and let's keep them in business!
the kraut wasn't too sour. it almost just tasted like boiled cabbage, but it was still goodI ordered a side of mashed potatoes. the portions were a good size.Food: 5/5
The selection of pierogi and kielbasa is outstanding, and the service is wonderful as well! I always look forward to returning here whenever I’m in town.
Food was just OK, stuffed cabbage was mushy, pierogi dough was very thick I guess it depends on what you're used to ? The service was great !
