We came Saturday, 11. March 2023 in hope of a wonderful experience as it would be my first time. My son was very excited to come here to show my other son and I, what a beautiful place it is, just as he experienced it a few years ago with his friends. We were well welcomed, chose our seats, and our order was immediately ordered by our server called Claire T. My son ordered a carajillo, but she got it mixed with another cocktail with a similar name on her menu. He didn't want to take it because he didn't want him to be the guy. He also ordered another cocktail, a Mab 's Chariot, in which our server smoke into the glass for aesthetics and taste along a few others. We enjoyed our cocktails in our seats for a bit, until my children ran into a few of their friends and hung them out with them. When they came back, my son saw a fruit fly in his Mab's Chariot cocktail. Then I told our server, it must have been from the drink that sits for a while, because 's a fly in his drink, she replied Well that 's what happens when they let their drinks sit outside Do you want to take off the fly? I can take it out if you want to drink it. At this point I was in awe and unbelief. The comment and the question of the server was very unnecessary, and was not the service we had expected....plus it should not be on site to start with. She did not even offer to replace it with a new one, but asked if we would like to order something else, so both of my children ordered espresso Martinis and asked to close our tab. We saw our bill hoping that she had pulled off the cocktail with the fruit fly in it, but surprise! She didn't! We were like, it's okay, it happened. My son pays for the bill and still tilted 20% that can be justified lol Later the day I posted my pictures and videos of our drinks on Facebook, I noticed that the fruit fly ALREADY was in the drink when we got it! By the way, my son has been in hospitality/food drink for some time and worked as a bartender, server and support staff so we understand that things happen, but the service we received was terrible! Also my son actually told us a similar story, where, when a fly in her guests drinks, she * Sorry*, replace her, and take it out of the bill. Only some advice to avoid such a review. Overall, we were very disappointed and sad that this was our experience on Velveteen Rabbit. That's nothing my son remembered.

that is my favorite to go in the art district! they love the work of art they have here and the dimming lighting, makes the place feel like a tasty and intimate. all drinks are excellently processed and moderately inexpensive 8-$16), but all drinks I have here were strong. the bar offers a rotating menu with a new stamp every visit and if they see nothing on the menu they are interested, they can tell the server which they like and they can customize the bartender a special drink for them! Walk-ins welcome, but they take reservations. our server dre was able to give good recommendations and often came back to check if we wanted more drinks. music is groovy/funky and not too loud, so my friends and I can still hear and talk. fave bier here is her nitro milk stuff, tastes like a clogged cold beer if they like coffee flavored drinks. fave cocktail is her hibiscus paloma, as I am a fan of mezcal and grapefruit. give this bar an attempt when they are in the city center/art district area, it is worth every penny!

I normally don 't love dark spaces/bars, but this place has such a creative vibe with the oversized red throne chairs couches just the whole set up. The outside picnic area with heaters is also fun, didn 't even recognize that space until walking to the back. The whole bar somehow smelled amazing/spicy incense without being overwhelming. Super friendly bartenders, very attentive even when busy. You won 't be ignored (our experience at other fancy bars) not stuffy at all. Just straightforward friendly. I have to laugh at reviews referring to this as a dive bar that, it is not. It is a little on the hipster side but whatever, it 's charming. Drinks are pricey, but on par with prices elsewhere in the area. Cocktails are delicious, some of the best in town that I 've tried. Very impressed! We don 't go out to bars often, but we 'll come back here again.

Can't tell you about the drinks. As we had to wait over 15 mins and no one had come by to take our order. We were on our way to a show and had allotted a 1hour timeframe. However, 3 other parties were seated while we waited for some one to come over for our order. Not until we stood up did they address us asked if we were leaving. Not a very warm welcome.
