I tried two kinds...Arepa Pabellon Juicy shredded beef, sweet plantains, black beans and crumbled cheese in side an arepa. Definitivamente, mi favorito entre los dos. I recently had my first experience with arepas, and it was absolutely delicious! Chamo is a Venezuelan restaurant in Pasadena, and I was eager to try it for lunch. I opted for the Reina Arepa, which features avocado chicken salad with onion, cilantro, and mayo. It was a delightful mix of some of my favorite flavors. The arepa made for a satisfying meal. The restaurant offers plenty of seating inside, as well as some outdoor options. I also found street parking nearby with no trouble.
There are so many delicious options on the menu! My friends and I ended up ordering nearly everything! The pabellón arepa is my favorite, along with the yuca frita, cachapas, and empanadas. And you absolutely have to try the chicha—it's the best I've ever had! The interior is vibrant and charming, with plenty of seating available. The restaurant is run by the warmest and kindest family. I even met my fiancé here! Definitely give it a try!
I was attended by Daniel and he was very nice during the transaction. I ordered the pabellón arepa and agua de panela which although it was a bit pricey. It's worth for the quality of the arepa. Perfectly shedded cheese with shredded beef. The beans were superb and the agua de panela is wonderful drink to conclude the meal. He even asked how my meal which was courteous of him. Can't recommend it enough if you're in Pasadena or in LA.

First time trying this place and I’m coming back. Friendly service and great tasty food. We ordered the conchino frito arepa and the tequeno de queso, both had so much flavor that you don’t even need to dip it in the sauce. The sauce was the extra cherry on the top, the garlic was my favorite. The spicy sauce wasn’t too spicy/hot if you are concerned with it being too hot.

This was my first experience with Venezuelan cuisine, and it was fantastic. Unfortunately, they don't offer patacón, but I opted for arepas instead, and they were amazing. I highly recommend visiting this place! Food: 5/5
Stumbled upon this lovely now I don't get my arepa from anywhere else..vegetarian options super tasty!
