Restaurants may come and go in Carteret, but Tommy's has been a fixture since the 1960s. Despite several new establishments opening across from Tommy's on Roosevelt Avenue, none have managed to stay in business. Tommy's hot dogs are simply the best around. Whenever I return to my hometown of Carteret, I always make a stop at Tommy's for a hot dog topped with mustard, cooked onions, and chili. They are fantastic!
Tommy and his wife were close friends of my parents back in the early sixties when they were part of the Jaycees and Jaycee-ettes. I have fond memories of Tommy operating his hot dog stand on the traffic island right outside his home. I was just a kid at the time, but it was always a delight to drive by and grab one of Tommy's hot dogs.
Tommy, Audrey and his son are Wonderful people. Food is great. Been going there since I was a child when he started from a truck. My children also went there. Just have to wait for the Little Guy to be able to eat. Hot dogs and burgers are great.
Quant little sandwich place. Mr Tommy and his son run the place. He has been there since 1960,s . I love this place , he is a hoot to talk too and the Philly cheese is absalutly awesome! Réservez une table maintenant
This place has been around since the 1960s, and if you're from Carteret, you're familiar with Tommy's Hot Dogs. It's definitely worth the visit!
Tommy and his son are the best, they have operated this Carteret institution since the early 60's. Their dogs are amazing and so are they.
The restaurant has a great atmosphere, I really enjoyed the food but the service was a bit slow.
