I had an exceptional dining experience at this restaurant. The seafood dishes were outstanding, showcasing freshness and flavor that truly impressed. The service was attentive and friendly, making our dinner enjoyable from start to finish. The atmosphere was inviting and comfortable, perfect for a relaxing evening out. I enjoyed a delightful lunch at this restaurant. The food was absolutely outstanding, earning a perfect score for its quality and presentation. The service was equally impressive; the staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring that our dining experience was top-notch. The atmosphere was pleasant, but I felt it could use just a bit more ambiance to elevate the experience further. Overall, it was a fantastic experience worth the price.
Despite this incident, I decided to give it another shot a few months later. On 9/21/2023, I ordered the same dish, but this time it was even worse. The food was tasteless, the fish was overcooked and tough, and the shrimp was hard as well. It was quite unpleasant. I spoke to the owner about my experience, but she still charged me for the meal.
I won't be returning. The restaurant has really declined from what it used to be. I wanted to share this in case anyone is considering a visit to Venus Bar and Restaurant in Passaic, NJ.

First of all!!!! Welcome to my review. This place is above and beyond exceptional!! I came here with my husband and 4 of my 5 children. 3 of which are extremely picky. My children loved everything! I was astonished at how amazing the food was the quality exceptionally high! The portion was astronomical! Our table of 6 looked like a buffet of deliciousness! If your looking for high quality exquisite food this is the place for you!!! I will definitely be back this weekend to bring my sister for brunch.

I literally cannot say enough about this place. Amazing food, better portions, phenomenal prices. Understand its a local place for local people. Be kind, understand just how busy it can get. I bring everyone I can here to share it with them. The food here is excellent—the ceviche is the best in the area! However, they never answer their phones. I visited on Sunday, June 11, 2023, specifically for the ceviche mixto. I paid for it, but they mistakenly gave me chaufa instead. After driving home for 35 minutes, I realized I had received the wrong order. If you decide to do takeout, I recommend double-checking your order before leaving.
The food was much better in the past. Unfortunately, the service from our waiter was terrible. Not only did she mess up our order, but she also seemed distracted and unfocused while serving us. Additionally, the selection of juices for kids is quite lacking.

This classic Ecuadorian restaurant has been a staple in Passaic since the late 80s. The food is outstanding, and the portion sizes are generous. Just a heads up, there’s a 3% service fee for credit card payments.
A very abandoned place, many minors working. Waiting for 1 hour. For the food... never again
