We were staying in a nearby hotel and had a long busy day. After reading all of the great reviews we decided to order take away as we were tired and hungry. We ordered over the phone and the lovely staff advised it would be 10 minutes. We arrived after 15 or so minutes and I was told it wasn't quite ready and it wouldn't be long and to wait. I waited for around 20-30 minutes whilst the others including children waited in the car. I noticed many tables of people coming and going all walking out with boxes. After this time a staff member came over and asked my name again and went to check. She then proceeded to take my order from behind the counter where it had been the entire time I had been there! My order was ready before I arrived but poor organisation skills and customer service had meant that our pizza and garlic bread was stone cold by the time we got to eat it. I asked the staff member if it was cold and she said 'no' and that she was sorry about that in a half interested manner. Not once did anyone seem to care that we spent $60 on stone cold pizza and garlic bread. Also when we opened it the crust took up around half of the pizzas which meant that we paid for dry dough? I would have thought maybe an offer of a discount for the trouble but nothing! I was too tired and hungry to bother coming back to say anything and I have no doubt they would have tasted fantastic fresh! Not a good look for a highly rated place! Sorry but my money is precious as I do t have much and this really upset me!
I've heard so much hype about the Pizza at Verace, i knew i just had to try it for myself! It did not disappoint when i finally had the chance to go. The pizza definitely lived up to it's high expectations as it was amazing and I can't wait to go back. Would recommend Verace to anyone that is looking to try a heavenly traditional Italian Pizza.
