Une belle découverte au détour de l'une des petites ruelles qui font le charme de Sion. L'adresse mérite le détour. Patrick qui a roulé sa bosse en Harley Davidson est un épicurien et il a le sens de l'accueil. Son établissement est classé 7/122 mais il ne s'en préoccupe guère, ce qui lui importe c'est son client. Il le vénère et il le chouchoute. Il appartient à une école rare. Ici les raclettes sont authentiques proposées avec différents fromages des alpages des environs, vache, brebis de jolies découvertes. Les fondues sont à tomber, les assemblages sont goûteux et légers, tomate, bolet, classique du chef....Les produits sont magnifiques, locaux et savoureux. Les vins sont choisis dans le...
Spending a few days in Valais we decided to go to this restaurant based on the good reviews it has on here. However, we were disappointed with the standard of food. As Swiss, we know good fondue raclette. So to be served a luke-warm rather tasteless fondue which after a few minutes started losing it's consistency and a raclette with one tiny potato and a sloppy presentation was for us too low quality for such a high price. We've had better at local village parties for half the price. Probably good enough for tourists but not for us. To add something positive, the service was good and the food was served fast.
small but cozy, the evening of our dinner all the tables had been moved outside along the street, creating a very suggestive atmosphere and the owner immediately greeted us in a friendly and friendly way offering us a good Valais wine. we have supper with the typical "fondue du patron" (to the cheese,) very abundant and delicious. Finally ice cream with apple liqueur, spectacular and also offered by the owner, to try for sure. the account was super honest if you think we are in the center of the capital of the Valais canton. also the staff is equally available with customers, we will definitely return!
In the old town of Sion on a pedestrian only street, parc in the nearby underground garage, is this unpretentious bistro which serves typical local Suiise food. Very friendly service and affordable prices make this restaurant a fantastic choice. We started with very good cheese fondue, followed by beef fondue with potatoes, dry meat, cornichons and small onions. All acompanied by a fresh Valais white and finished with a Valais red. Today us and a group of friends had a horrible experience at Au Vieux Valais. We were early at the restaurant because we were extremely happy to try Swiss cuisine. However, we were not made feel welcome and were discouraged to eat at the restaurant. We believe that we were dismissed from the restaurant because we approached the owner in English. The behavior of the owner felt xenophobic in nature and left us really confused and upset and of course, hungry!
Juste magnifique, rien à redire sur la qualité. De l'accueil au plats, tout est parfait.Arrêté là pour prendre l'apéro, la faim arrivant, nous n'avions pas réserver pour le souper. Qu'à cela ne tienne, le patron trouve toujours de la place. Nous avons pu manger dehors, à 4, sans réservation un w-e du festival art de Rue.Superbe adresse à retenir pour une escapade dans la vieille ville de Sion.
Nous avons passé une superbe soirée en voulant faire goûter nos spécialités valaisannes à des amis français ! Et ils n'ont pas été déçu du voyage ! Glareyarde et fondue fromage au top, service au top, bonne ambiance, sympathique terrasse, le patron qui vient nous serrer la main... ! à refaire :)
