This was my first visit to Village Baking Co. Oak Lawn. I was greeted upon entering, but no one asked if I needed assistance or had any questions while I browsed. The two staff members stayed engaged in their own conversation throughout my visit, which I found quite unprofessional. Even as I placed my order, they continued talking and did so until I left. Although the service was polite and accompanied by smiles, it felt impersonal and lacking in customer attention. I ordered a ham and cheese baguette, which I felt could have used more butter, as the flavor was quite bland.
