My wife and I went here this afternoon because my wife has been wanting to go there for years now so I finally took her. When we walked in there was 2 ladies at the bar and the bartender brought us the menus and took our drink order, we both ordered sweet tea, we both received regular unsweetened tea. A family of 4 walked in and the bartender sat them took there order and gave them their drinks while my wife and I that had been there waiting for our order to be taken for 10 minutes prior to the family walking in. We waited for about 10 minutes longer after to put our order in then finally got up paid for our drinks and went to Laffs in germantown. We were at the Village Inn for 25-30 minutes...
The food was just average. The house special cheeseburger, which is supposed to be a standout, is simply meat and cheese. I opted for the mushroom Swiss burger, which tasted like it was made from a frozen patty, and the mushrooms definitely came from a can. This wouldn't have bothered me as much if it hadn't taken 10 minutes just to place our order, followed by another 50 minutes before we received our food (and the restaurant wasn't even busy). How long does it take to reheat frozen food? On a positive note, their beer-battered fries were really good. Perhaps burgers just aren't their specialty.
The restaurant no longer offers the type of beer that my partner enjoys. If the owner is imposing their political beliefs on customers, then they should reconsider being in the business. While I understand that the absence of two customers may not matter much to you, I am very disappointed with how this establishment is run, and I will make sure to share my experience. It's unfortunate. Just a heads-up, I couldn't rate the food because we left before trying it. Shaking my head.
I’m sure it’s great however went on a Saturday around 12:30 and there were no customers. Took a while for one staffer to say hi.. take a seat anywhere. She was very nice but she quickly disappeared quickly. We were looking for a brunch cafe style place and this was more of a bar and grill. Again… didn’t taste the food but I’m sure it’s great

The food is mediocre. The prices are a bit high. We haven't been impressed, especially lately. Tried the beer- battered fries, hoping by the description over the phone that they would be amazing. But they were just regular fries, nothing special. Wings were ok. They charged $1 extra to make them naked.
Very good food and service despite not being able to hear due to Trivia Night going on! We went there wanting subs but they were out of sub buns that night.
Food was good, atmosphere was good, but food took an hour an 40 minutes to come out and others were served before us.
The food is excellent, and it’s a lovely place to dine. The staff is friendly, and the prices are quite reasonable.

Bartender was extremely nice and food was all done very nicely.
The Village Inn is second to none for great food and service.
