Hadn’t been to Vin Rouge for years, but had fond memories. We invited two guests. The restaurant was busy, but not especially so. We ordered and then waited. And waited. The drinks finally came. Then we waited. The appetizers took half an hour to arrive, and they were quite tasty. Then we waited. And waited. It was close to 45 minutes between courses. I finally asked the waitress about the delay. The response was to say that the chef said dinner would be out soon. She had been serving other tables and failed to notice my attempts to get her attention. When the mains finally arrived, they were not as described by the wait staff. There was garnish instead of green beans. There were fries inste...
There were 6 of us in our party and the receptionist accommodated a quieter place for us to sit so we could all talk and hear each other. That was very nice. I am a guest in Durham so I considered the price to be a little expensive but it was worth it. (hence the 4 star)
